Source and origin
A resorcylic acid lactone produced by Fusarium species, principally Fusarium graminearum, and recognised for its oestrogenic activity in livestock. Manufactured by TripleBond through controlled fermentation and in-house purification in Canada.

Solubility
Soluble in methanol, acetonitrile, ethanol, acetone and DMSO. Only slightly soluble in water.
Storage and stability
Recommended storage: −20 °C, protected from light and moisture. Allow the vial to reach room temperature before opening to avoid condensation. Prepare stock solutions in a suitable organic solvent and store sealed at −20 °C.
